Lodi Town Supervisor Lucas Latini has filed a complaint with the state Public Service Commission over repeated brownouts, outages and low-voltage service in southern Seneca County, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
Latini said recent incidents left some customers with dangerously low voltage for extended periods and caused outages lasting several hours despite mild weather.
He argued that aging infrastructure, an outdated electrical configuration and limited capacity are driving the problems and putting appliances, equipment and residents at risk.
NYSEG said some incidents were tied to vandalism, extreme heat and increased demand, while maintaining that recent system upgrades remain effective.
The utility said engineers are reviewing the July outages and potential solutions as Latini continues pressing for broader improvements to Lodi’s electrical grid.
