Teen charged after BB gun pointed at Seneca Falls home, police say

A 15-year-old was charged with menacing after police said the teen pointed what appeared to be a handgun into a Seneca Falls residence.

Police arrested the teen at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday following an investigation and determined the object was a BB gun, according to the Seneca Falls Police Department.

The alleged incident occurred on an earlier date, but police did not specify when or where it happened. No injuries were reported in the release.

The teen, whose name was withheld because of age, was charged with second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor. Police issued an appearance ticket directing the teen to report to Seneca County Probation at a later date.

The charge is an allegation, and the teen is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
