A 17-year-old boy has been charged with first-degree assault as the second arrest in a Seneca Falls stabbing investigation that began July 7, police said Tuesday.
The teen, whose name was withheld because of his age, was taken into custody at the police station, arraigned in Seneca County CAP Court and ordered held in a youth detention facility.
Police said the teen is being held pending further proceedings in Seneca County Superior Court's Youth Part. Orders of protection were issued in the case.
The Seneca Falls Police Department said the investigation remains open. The release did not provide additional details about the stabbing or identify the other person arrested.
The charge is an allegation, and the teen is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
