Cayuga Community College is advancing a $31 million budget for 2026-27 that includes higher spending and a modest increase in county support, according to The Citizen.
The plan raises spending by $1.5 million, includes a 3% tuition increase and projects enrollment growth of about 150 full-time equivalent students.
The college is asking Cayuga County to increase its contribution from about $3.22 million to $3.26 million as personnel and benefit costs continue to climb.
Officials also plan to use $1.6 million from the college’s fund balance to close the gap, up from just under $1 million this year.
The county Legislature is expected to review the proposal through committee meetings before a final vote July 28.
