The American Red Cross is seeking donors in the Ithaca area as blood supplies tighten this summer, according to 14850. The organization reported an emergency shortage after the national blood supply fell about 25% in June.
Upcoming local drives include stops in Dryden, Ithaca, Lansing, Enfield and Newfield through the end of July.
The Red Cross said hospital demand is running higher than expected while summer donations have dropped. Donors can schedule appointments through the Red Cross website.
