Dundee woman charged with felony DWAI after side-by-side stop

A Dundee woman was charged with felony drug-impaired driving after deputies stopped a side-by-side on Dundee Himrod Road, the Yates County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies said Andrea M. Bailey, 38, was arrested around 4:40 p.m. July 11 after they saw the side-by-side operating on the road and failing to keep right by entering the opposite lane of travel.


Deputies said Bailey showed signs of impairment and was given standardized field sobriety tests.

She was taken to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital, where she submitted to a chemical test, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Bailey was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation, failure to keep right, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Deputies said she was transported to Yates County Jail and held to await the next session of centralized arraignment court.
