A Penn Yan woman was arrested after police said she damaged an elevator control panel at a local hotel.
Penn Yan police said Megan E. Turker, 37, was charged with second-degree criminal mischief after officers responded to a complaint about a disruptive person at the hotel.
Police said Turker had been staying as a guest and was asked to leave after causing problems with staff.
Investigators said she then intentionally damaged the hotel's elevator control panel, causing more than $1,500 in damage.
Turker was taken to the Yates County Jail and held for CAP arraignment.
