Women's Rights National Historical Park and Harriet Tubman National Historical Park will co-host a free Freedom 250 Weekend from July 3 to 5 as the National Park Service marks the 250th anniversary of American independence.
The event will explore the ongoing pursuit of liberty, equality and justice through the themes "Unfinished Resolutions" at Women's Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls and "Towards a More Perfect Union" at Harriet Tubman National Historical Park in Auburn.
Park officials said the weekend will include ranger programs, living history, family make-and-take activities and other programming focused on stories of American women who challenged the nation to live up to its founding ideals.
All activities are free and open to the public.
The National Park Service said the event is part of the agency's role in commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence on July 4, 2026.
Additional event details are available through the Women's Rights National Historical Park and Harriet Tubman National Historical Park calendars and websites.
