A Penfield man was arrested after Wayne County deputies investigated a harassment complaint in the town of Marion.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office said William J. Crombach, 56, of Fairport Nine Mile Point Road, was charged with fourth-degree stalking and second-degree aggravated harassment.
Deputies said the charges stem from a complaint on Sand Hill Road. Crombach is accused of making phone threats June 29 to burn down a victim's house while the victim was sleeping.
The sheriff's office also alleged Crombach called the victim 47 times in less than two hours.
Crombach was taken into custody and brought to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment processing, deputies said.
He is scheduled to answer the charges in Marion Town Court.
