Onanda Park set to add concession stand ahead of summer season

Visitors to Onanda Park will soon have a new option for snacks, supplies and refreshments as the Town of Canandaigua prepares to welcome a concession stand to the popular lakeside destination this summer.

Town officials announced this week that The Company Store will operate the concession space at Onanda Park, with work already underway to prepare the location for opening weekend.

The town said the goal is to hold a soft opening on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, with plans to eventually expand operations to seven days a week once the business is fully operational. Operating hours have not yet been announced.

According to the town, the concession stand will offer coffee, baked goods, cookies, grab-and-go foods, refreshments, snacks and novelty ice cream. Visitors will also be able to purchase camping essentials including groceries, firewood and ice.

Officials described the addition as a convenience upgrade for campers, park visitors and others spending time at the park during the busy summer season.

Onanda Park, located on the west side of Canandaigua Lake, is a popular destination for camping, hiking and waterfront recreation throughout the Finger Lakes region.
