The Cornell Big Red men’s outdoor track and field team competed on Tuesday at the Egan Family Complex Track and Field Facility in Ithaca, New York, turning in a strong all-around performance at the venue’s first outdoor meet. With each event winner establishing an inaugural facility record, Cornell delivered multiple victories and standout finishes across both track and field events.
Cornell opened the meet with a strong statement in the 4×100-meter relay, as Garrett Brennan, Ricardo Lagares Jr., Ryder King and Panashe Nhenga combined for a first-place finish to set the tone for the day. On the track, Seamus Finn led the 400-meter group with a winning time of 48.86, while Adam Kaufman and Neil Chowdhurry also placed among the top finishers. Teddy Rauchway contributed across events, placing third in the 200 meters before winning the 110-meter hurdles.
The Big Red distance group dominated the 1,500 meters, sweeping the top two spots and placing seven runners among the top seven finishers. Hunter Celkupa led the effort with a winning time, followed closely by Michael Dizon-Bunmann. Cornell also posted strong results in the 800 meters, with multiple runners finishing near the top of the field.
In field events, Aidan Kerr claimed the hammer throw title, while Joseph Rachiele secured first place in the javelin with a personal-best mark. Brandon Dunn added a second-place finish in the discus to round out the field performances.
Cornell will return to action on Thursday when it begins competition at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
