A Wayne County man was hospitalized after losing control of his motorcycle Sunday evening in the Town of Huron.
Deputies responded around 6:54 p.m. to Lummisville Road near Woodruff Road for a report of a motorcycle crash involving injuries.
Investigators identified the operator as 49-year-old Lamar Weiler, of Huron. Authorities say Weiler was traveling west when the motorcycle’s kickstand was not fully retracted, causing him to lose control and leave the roadway.
The motorcycle struck an embankment, and Weiler sustained injuries. He was transported by Wayne County EMS to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for treatment.
