A 46-year-old Huron man was charged with petit larceny following an investigation into an alleged shoplifting incident at a Dollar General in the village of Wolcott, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies alleged Shawn P. Viele stole several items from the store on Aug. 13. He was arrested the following day, according to the sheriff's office.
Viele was processed and released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Wolcott Village Court at 2 p.m. Sept. 18 to answer the charge.
