A missing mailbox that frustrated drivers for months is finally back on Linden Street, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
USPS crews installed a new drive-up collection box Monday next to the Geneva post office after the previous one was damaged in December. Officials ordered a replacement, but the wait stretched longer than many residents expected.
Neighbors quickly celebrated online, saying the box saves time and parking hassle. Postal officials had already removed a second box last summer after studies showed it wasn’t needed, leaving the area without a convenient option until now.
