A major cash boost will help people in recovery get back to work, according to the Finger Lakes Times. FLACRA landed $1.75 million from a statewide funding push to expand job training and employment support.
The funding comes from a $42.9 million initiative announced by Gov. Kathy Hochul to connect people recovering from addiction with jobs. Much of it will support hiring vocational counselors and regional support services.
FLACRA leaders say stable jobs give people structure, income, and purpose — key factors in long-term recovery across the Finger Lakes.
