The Buffalo Bills agreed to terms with pass rusher Bradley Chubb on a three-year contract worth up to $52.5 million, according to a report Wednesday from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Chubb, 29, became available earlier in the day after being released by the Miami Dolphins, giving Buffalo an opportunity to reinforce a position that has long been a priority for the franchise. The signing comes after several high-profile pass rushers, including Trey Hendrickson and Maxx Crosby, either re-signed with their teams or landed elsewhere, leaving the Bills searching for help along the edge.
Buffalo has spent significant resources in recent years attempting to build a consistent pass rush. The team used early draft picks on defensive ends Gregory Rousseau, A.J. Epenesa, and Boogie Basham while also investing in veteran free agents such as Von Miller, Leonard Floyd, and Joey Bosa.
Chubb, originally selected fifth overall by the Denver Broncos in the 2018 NFL Draft, will turn 30 in June. He missed the entire 2024 season after suffering a torn ACL but returned the following year and appeared in every game for Miami.
During that comeback season, Chubb led the Dolphins with 8.5 sacks while adding 20 quarterback hits, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
