A major investment is headed to the Southern Tier as Siemens Energy announced a $64 million expansion at its Painted Post facility, according to WETM. The move comes just weeks after the company revealed a separate $60 million project at its Horseheads plant.
The Painted Post site manufactures and services gas compressors and plays a key role in pipeline and gas processing operations. Company leaders say the expansion reinforces Siemens Energy’s long-term commitment to New York and its energy workforce.
Nick Langworthy praised the project, calling it a boost for manufacturing and high-skill jobs in the region. Siemens says hiring will follow, with positions posted on its website.
