A domestic incident in the town of East Bloomfield led to a late-night arrest Saturday, with authorities alleging a local man violated an order of protection.
Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies said the arrest happened around 8:20 p.m. at a residence on Rice Road following a reported domestic disturbance.
Scott H. Poole, 57, was taken into custody at the scene and charged with criminal contempt in the first degree, a felony offense tied to alleged violations of court-issued protection orders.
Investigators said the charge stems from deputies determining that Poole had violated an existing order of protection during the incident. He was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he was held pending arraignment in CAP Court.
Poole is expected to appear in East Bloomfield Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
