Trust, not flash, put New York companies in the national spotlight, according to Forbes. The magazine ranked Wegmans Food Markets No. 20 on its 2026 list of the most trusted companies in America, one of 30 New York-based firms to make the cut.
Forbes analyzed more than 1,500 large U.S. companies, measuring employee sentiment, customer trust, financial performance, and long-term stability. Only 300 companies earned spots.
Several New York heavyweights cracked the top 10, including American Express at No. 4 and Morgan Stanley at No. 5. Others in the top 100 included Mastercard, JPMorgan Chase, IBM, and Verizon.
