A 19-year-old Waterloo man is facing a DWI charge after a rollover crash in Geneva that ended with him allegedly fleeing the scene.
Deputies responded to County Road 6 around 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 25 and found a red Hyundai Elantra overturned. The driver had left before law enforcement arrived, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators later located William Garcia Lazaro and identified him as the operator of the vehicle. Deputies suspected he had been driving under the influence of alcohol and arrested him.
Lazaro was released and is expected to appear in Geneva Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
