A Canandaigua woman was taken to the hospital Tuesday night after a two-car crash at the intersection of County Road 28 and Emerson Road.
Deputies say the crash happened around 8:19 p.m. on November 25. According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, 26-year-old Kayla M. Battle was driving east on Emerson Road in a 2020 Nissan Altima when she failed to stop at a stop sign. Her vehicle entered the intersection and struck a northbound 2021 Jeep SUV driven by 64-year-old Eric J. Peck of Newark.
Both vehicles suffered heavy damage, and airbags deployed during the crash. Battle was transported to F.F. Thompson Hospital with hand and arm pain. Peck was not injured, deputies said.
Canandaigua Fire and EMS assisted at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
