Crews have started repairing a historic downtown Auburn building where debris fell to the street in June, The Citizen reports.
Workers began demolition last week at 120 Genesee St., a six-story former bank, with new exterior panels arriving soon. The owners aim to finish repairs by Dec. 15—just weeks after the building’s facade forced sidewalk closures for safety.
The site is slated for a mixed-use redevelopment with retail and apartments, backed in part by a $1 million state grant.
