‘Shoot him’ remark sparks investigation in Seneca Falls

A Seneca Falls town board member is under scrutiny after telling the police chief to “shoot him” during a heated public meeting, according to WHAM. The Nov. 6 comment from Frank Sinicropi came as tensions rose over proposed police budget cuts.

Police Chief Tim Snyder said the remark triggered an investigation by local police and the district attorney. The board ultimately voted to keep two threatened police positions, bringing relief to the department.

Sinicropi’s term ends Dec. 31, and findings from the investigation are expected soon.
