An internationally acclaimed conductor is returning to Clifton Springs to help kick off the holiday season in a big way.

Maestro Gerard Floriano will lead the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra during a holiday concert on Wednesday, December 3 at Midlakes High School. The 7 p.m. performance will include Midlakes students and feature classical selections and seasonal favorites.
The concert is underwritten by G.W. Lisk Company and supported by the Clifton Springs Rotary Club, with proceeds benefiting Rotary.
“We are pleased to have this event back and to offer this experience to the Midlakes community,” said Amy Conner, vocal director at Midlakes. “The kids are very excited; they look forward to performing with the RPO. The concert is always so much fun. It will be a great way to kick off the holiday season.”
Floriano, a Distinguished Professor of Music and Conducting at SUNY Geneseo, brings more than 30 years of experience working with young musicians. He has conducted across the U.S. and Europe, and previously served as the founding artistic director of Finger Lakes Opera.
Midlakes graduate Lisa Albrecht, a member of the RPO, will also return to perform with her former school community.
