Auburn city officials are inviting the community to a special Veterans Day ceremony set for Tuesday, November 11 at 11 a.m. inside Memorial City Hall.
The event was originally planned for outside but has been moved indoors due to forecasts calling for cold temperatures, snow, and high wind gusts.
The ceremony will include the presentation of colors and remarks from Sgt. Angel Gonzalez of the Auburn Police Department. Gonzalez also serves as a First Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserve.
As part of the ceremony, Stephen Weldon will be honored with the Cayuga County Veterans Service Agency Award. Kevin Swab, director of the agency, will present the award.
The event will be held at Memorial City Hall, located at 24 South Street in Auburn.
