Hobart football delivered its most explosive offensive performance of the season, cruising past St. Lawrence 49-17 on Saturday at Boswell Field. The Statesmen piled up 544 total yards, their highest output since 2016, and extended their win streak over the Saints to 14 straight games.

After St. Lawrence opened the scoring with a defensive touchdown, Hobart (2-5, 1-3 Liberty) erupted for 35 unanswered points to take a commanding halftime lead. Quarterback Jeremy Weiss led the charge, completing 13-of-17 passes for 329 yards and four touchdowns, the most by a Hobart passer since 2019. His top target, Jordan Nolan, caught three passes for 154 yards and two scores, including a record-breaking 96-yard touchdown that stands as the longest play in program history.
The ground game was equally effective, as junior running back E.J. Taylor rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns, marking his fifth 100-yard performance of the year. Taylor also climbed into Hobart’s top 15 all-time in both rushing yards and touchdowns.
Defensively, the Statesmen contained one of the Liberty League’s top passing offenses, holding St. Lawrence (2-5, 1-3) to just 118 yards through the air. Linebacker Jeron Atwater Jr. paced the defense with eight tackles, while lineman Billy Brosko added six stops, a sack, and a forced fumble. Hobart’s defense allowed only a late fourth-quarter field goal after halftime.
The Statesmen travel to Rochester next Saturday for the annual Centennial Cup game at noon.
