The 22nd-ranked William Smith soccer team extended its win streak to six with a 4-0 Liberty League victory over St. Lawrence on Wednesday afternoon at Sandy MacAllaster Field. Four different Herons found the back of the net as the team secured its spot in the conference tournament.

Nell Dwyer opened the scoring in the 21st minute, lofting a long shot over the goalkeeper for her first goal of the season. Julia Bragg doubled the lead just after halftime, redirecting a centering pass from Charlotte Brown for her eighth of the year. Grace Metzler made it 3-0 in the 58th minute, sprinting down the left side to finish a through ball from Lily Pryzwansky. First-year Sofia Carney capped the scoring in the 89th minute with her first collegiate goal off a corner kick.
Junior goalkeeper Antonia Goerke matched her career high with eight saves over 74 minutes before first-year Sevilla Anderson closed out the shutout with one stop. William Smith outshot St. Lawrence 16-16 but held an 11-9 edge in shots on goal and a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.
With the win, the Herons improved to 10-2-2 overall and 6-1-0 in Liberty League play, while the Saints dropped to 7-5-3 and 3-3-0 in the conference.
William Smith returns to Cozzens Field on Saturday, October 25, to host Union at 3 p.m.
