A Wayne County man is facing DWI charges after state troopers pulled him over on Route 31 in Palmyra late Sunday night.
According to New York State Police, 28-year-old Tyrelle J. Teabout of Newark was stopped around 9:56 p.m. on Sept. 28 by Troopers from the SP Lyons barracks for Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.
During the stop, troopers observed signs of intoxication and conducted field sobriety tests, which Teabout failed. He was arrested and taken to SP Lyons for processing, where he registered a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.15% — nearly twice the legal limit.
Teabout was charged with:
- Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) – 1st Offense
- Operating a Motor Vehicle with a BAC of 0.08% or Higher – 1st Offense
- Additional traffic violations
He was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Palmyra Town Court on October 15.
