Deputies arrested a Canandaigua man Tuesday night after they say he sent threatening text messages that left the victim fearing for their life.
Ernest K. Ford, 36, was taken into custody around 8:55 p.m. at Lakeshore Landing in the Town of Hopewell, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said Ford sent the messages through a cellphone, leading to an aggravated harassment charge in the second degree.
Deputies transported Ford to the Ontario County Jail, where he is being held pending a court appearance.
