Democrats to host dinner, candidates in Seneca Falls

Live music, local food, and political conversation will be on the menu when the Seneca County Democrats hold their annual fundraising dinner later this month.

The event is set for Friday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. at Vince’s Park Pavilion in Seneca Falls. It will include a catered dinner from The Perfect Pair Eatery, a cash bar, live music, a silent auction, and a chance to meet Democratic candidates running at all levels.

Three Congressional hopefuls — Allisa Ellman, Diana Kastenbaum, and Steven Holden — are expected to attend as they vie for the nomination to run against Rep. Claudia Tenney. Two Democratic candidates for state Supreme Court, Darius Lind and David Sigüenza, will also be there, along with local candidates running across Seneca County.

“We have nineteen local races this year in which Democrats are running,” said Rachel Weil, chair of the Seneca County Democratic Committee. “For the first time in a long time, voters in many Seneca County towns will have a choice on election day.”

Weil said partnering with The Perfect Pair Eatery, a new Seneca Falls business, reflects the party’s support for local small businesses. Dinner options include chicken or a vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free plate.

Tickets cost $50 and proceeds will support local Democratic candidates. Tickets can be purchased at https://secure.actblue.com/donate/scdc-dinner, or by emailing [email protected]. Attendees are asked to indicate their meal preference when purchasing.
