Bench warrant leads to arrest in burglary case

A woman who skipped court after a burglary arrest was taken into custody in Seneca Falls on September 10.

Police arrested Makayla J. Walker-Squires around 9:23 a.m. on a bench warrant tied to a previous case involving burglary, petit larceny, and attempted petit larceny.

The warrant was issued after Walker-Squires failed to show up for her scheduled court appearance. Officers brought her to Seneca Falls Town Court, then transported her to Tompkins County Jail, where she remains in custody.
