A Cayuga County judge has sentenced an Auburn man to 15 years in prison for two separate violent robberies after he evaded law enforcement for more than three years.
District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonacci announced that Sadiq Bonner-Judge, 24, was sentenced to two consecutive 7.5-year prison terms, followed by five years of post-release supervision. The sentence stems from convictions on one count of first-degree attempted robbery and one count of second-degree robbery — both violent felonies.
One of the robberies involved Bonner-Judge displaying what appeared to be a firearm while forcibly stealing property. In the second incident, he injured the victim while stealing money.
Bonner-Judge initially pled guilty to both counts in 2022, with a promised concurrent sentence of five years. However, he failed to appear for his sentencing and was the subject of a bench warrant for over 37 months. The court imposed a harsher sentence due to his failure to appear and lack of cooperation with probation.
The case was prosecuted by Chief Assistant District Attorney Chris Valdina, with sentencing handled by DA Grome Antonacci.
