Langworthy delivers $500K grant for South Dayton water upgrades

Congressman Nick Langworthy has secured $500,000 in federal funding to improve the water system in the Village of South Dayton.

The grant, awarded through the EPA’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund, will support critical upgrades to the village’s drinking water and stormwater systems. It stems from Langworthy’s Community Project Funding request in the 2024 federal budget.

“This significant investment in South Dayton’s infrastructure will help modernize their stormwater collection system to protect public health,” Langworthy said. “I’m proud to deliver $500,000 to upgrade South Dayton’s water system.”

The funding was included in the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024, signed into law in March. Langworthy said the project has been one of his top priorities and that he pushed hard to secure the resources.
