A New York Health Department employee is facing federal charges after allegedly threatening ICE agents and the widow of a murdered health care executive, according to the Times Union.
Shane E. Daley, 40, was arrested August 13 for cyberstalking after leaving violent voicemails for Paulette Thompson, whose husband, UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, was fatally shot in 2024.
After his arrest, authorities found a loaded shotgun, drugs, and threatening emails at Daley’s home in Saratoga County. Now in custody, he was recently approved for transfer to a 28-day addiction treatment program.
He’s considered a danger to the community and is under electronic monitoring while awaiting trial.
