Chef shakes up Canandaigua’s Cove menu

A new chef is putting his own spin on classic comfort food at a Canandaigua restaurant, with a mystery meatball recipe leading the charge, according to the Democrat and Chronicle.


Marcus Ledford recently took over the kitchen at the Cove Restaurant at Hotel Canandaigua, bringing experience from Chicago and the Finger Lakes. His revamped menu features Italian-inspired dishes, fresh seafood, and locally sourced ingredients.

Ledford says his approach blends simple, high-quality food with creativity, including a closely guarded meatball recipe. Restaurant leaders say the changes have already transformed the menu, with guests noticing the difference and demand growing.
