Waterloo woman charged after child supervision concerns

A Waterloo mother is facing a child endangerment charge after police say repeated issues pointed to a lack of adequate supervision.

Officers arrested 35-year-old Megan Stivers around 10 p.m. on August 15, according to the Waterloo Police Department. The charge falls under a section that requires parents or guardians to exercise reasonable control over their children.

Police say the case stems from ongoing incidents involving the child, though details were not released.

Stivers was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Waterloo Court on September 3 at 5 p.m.
