A 13-year-old Johnson City girl escaped serious injury after her neighbor accidentally ran over her while backing out of their shared driveway, according to WIVT. The July 25 incident was caught on multiple home security cameras.
Breanna Hranek had been sitting in the rain near the curb, listening to music, when the car struck her. Her father says she screamed, prompting the driver to pull forward. She suffered severe road rash but avoided broken bones or internal injuries.
Her family has hired an attorney to seek compensation for medical costs and pain and suffering, calling her survival a miracle.
