State Police reported an arrest following an incident involving an 86-year-old disabled man in Wolcott.
Jill A. Wood, 47, of 6 State Street in Sodus, was taken into custody Friday at 2:32 p.m., according to troopers.
Authorities said Wood threw the man’s wheelchair into the roadway and took his cell phone, preventing him from calling for help.
Troopers said she then locked herself in a room for several hours and refused to come out after being told she was under arrest.
When she opened the door, police said she physically fought with officers.
Wood faces charges including felony endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person in the first degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree.
She was taken to the Wayne County Jail for CAP Court arraignment and later released.
Officials said she is scheduled to appear in Rose Court on April 6.
A court order of protection was issued for the victim.
