A 1950-built bridge in Ithaca will close for four hours next week, according to 14850.com. The Townline Road Bridge over Lick Brook is scheduled to shut from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday, August 12, for a New York State inspection.
The Town of Ithaca says the structure is already slated for a full replacement next year, with plans to remove and rebuild it on a slightly different alignment.
The Tompkins SIREN alert didn’t list detours, so drivers may need to find their own alternate routes.
