An internal NYPD investigation from 2015 has resurfaced amid court filings, revealing that former senior City Hall adviser Tim Pearson was once accused of rape, according to Politico.
The allegation, stemming from a 2013 incident in Nassau County, was deemed unfounded at the time. Pearson, a longtime ally of Mayor Eric Adams, has denied all claims, while the woman maintains her account and says the police failed to act. The probe also examined whether two NYPD leaders ignored the report, but investigators cleared both.
Pearson, no longer in the Adams administration, is already under scrutiny in other legal matters, including sexual harassment and an FBI corruption probe. The latest revelation adds pressure as Adams campaigns on his public safety record.
