Penn Yan woman charged with trespassing after apartment incident

A 25-year-old Penn Yan resident has been charged with second-degree criminal trespass after police say she unlawfully entered an apartment and refused to leave.

According to the Penn Yan Police Department, officers were called to an apartment complex on Carpenter Lane following a complaint that Alexandra G.A. Hudson had entered a residence without permission. A victim and witness told officers that Hudson refused repeated requests to leave the apartment.

By the time police arrived, Hudson had left the scene. Officers later found her nearby and took her into custody without incident. She was processed at the Penn Yan Police Department and issued an appearance ticket.

Hudson is scheduled to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date to answer the charge.
