Williamson woman arrested for violating protection order

A domestic incident led to the arrest of a Williamson woman earlier this month after she was found violating a court order.

Deputies took Stacy L. Sawyer, 47, into custody on July 3 after responding to a disturbance on Ridge Road in the Town of Williamson. According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Sawyer was with an individual protected under a stay-away order issued by Cayuga County.


Deputies also reported that Sawyer damaged property belonging to the protected party during the incident. She was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree and criminal mischief in the fourth degree. Sawyer was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office to await arraignment in CAP Court.
