New York launches massive I LOVE NY summer tourism push

New York is rolling out its biggest tourism campaign yet just in time for summer.

Governor Kathy Hochul has announced a statewide I LOVE NY initiative aimed at boosting tourism with bold ads, global outreach, and a mobile marketing tour.

Ads and tagline aim for national, international reach

  • Two new commercials launched with the slogan “New York State: Everything You Love.”
  • The ads are running across TV, streaming, and social media through August.
  • Canada, the UK, Germany, and Australia are key international targets.

Mobile tour to promote NY attractions

  • The I LOVE NY mobile tour will stop at 40+ events across the Northeast.
  • Stops include music festivals, fairs, and major sports events.
  • Attendees can win prizes and snap photos with the iconic I LOVE NY sculpture.

Economic stakes are high

  • Tourism is New York’s second-largest industry, supporting 1 in 10 jobs.
  • Last year, over 306 million visitors spent $88 billion statewide.
  • That spending saved each New York household $1,400 in taxes.

Spotlight on unique summer events

  • Bicentennial of the Erie Canal with statewide celebrations
  • Saratoga’s summer racing season featuring the Belmont Stakes
  • Ryder Cup at Bethpage, Long Island
  • The Great New York State Fair in Syracuse

Empire State Development officials say the campaign is designed to showcase all 11 of New York’s vacation regions—from Niagara Falls to Montauk Point.

“With so much to offer, we want travelers from around the world to see that New York truly has everything to love,” said Empire State Development’s Hope Knight.
