Two “No Kings” rallies are scheduled for March 28 in Watkins Glen and Marion as part of a broader series of events across the region and country.
Organizers said both gatherings are intended to be peaceful and open to the public, with community participation encouraged.
In Watkins Glen, the rally is set for 2:30 to 4 p.m. in front of the Schuyler County Courthouse on Franklin Street.
Organizers said the event will include a donation drive for local food pantries, with a focus on cleaning supplies, as well as non-perishable food and personal care items.
In Marion, a separate event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Buffalo Street, with speakers expected to address attendees near the town court.
Event organizers described both gatherings as peaceful and family-friendly, and said participants are expected to act lawfully and avoid escalation.
The Marion event is part of a larger national effort, with organizers reporting thousands of similar events planned across the country.
A previous rally in Watkins Glen drew about 500 attendees, according to organizers.
