Kindred Fare in Geneva will shine a spotlight on one of New York’s most overlooked grape varieties during a special one-night culinary event on Monday, April 28.
The restaurant will offer a four-course Chef’s tasting menu from 5 to 9 p.m., with curated wine pairings that explore the range and character of the Delaware grape. Featured wines come from four New York producers: Little Clover Wine Company, Chëpìka, Paul Brady Wine, and Lakewood Vineyards. Guests can expect a full spectrum of styles—sparkling, orange, and dessert—showcasing the grape’s versatility.
Although the Delaware grape is rarely found in its namesake state, it thrives in the Northeast and Midwest, and has a storied history in New York. Known for its bright acidity and floral notes, Delaware is an American hybrid prized for its adaptability.
Executive Chef Max Spittler has designed a seasonal menu to complement each wine, pairing every course with a distinct Delaware expression. The tasting menu is optional, and à la carte dining will also be available. Whole table participation is not required.
Kindred Fare encourages guests to reserve early by calling 315-787-0400, as seating is limited. The event invites both seasoned wine lovers and newcomers to discover a unique facet of New York’s winemaking heritage—brought to life through food, flavor, and thoughtful pairings.
