Peter Saracino to perform as Robert Frost at Geneva History Museum

Peter Saracino, a veteran community theater performer, will portray poet Robert Frost in a free performance at the Geneva History Museum on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. The event, titled In His Own Words, is sponsored by the Antiques Club of the Finger Lakes and is open to the public.

Saracino’s love of Frost’s work began in high school with iconic poems such as Mending Wall, The Road Not Taken, and Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening. His fascination deepened during college when he read Frost’s Complete Poems. “Poetry became a way to explore the full range of human experience – love, loss, wonder, doubt, despair, and hope,” Saracino reflected.

In preparing for his portrayal, Saracino conducted two years of in-depth research, including visits to the Frost family homesteads in New Hampshire and Vermont. Through his performance, he hopes to embed Frost’s poetry in the hearts and minds of his audience, much like Frost’s goal of creating enduring verse.

The event will take place in the newly renovated Hucker Gallery at the Geneva History Museum, located at 543 S. Main Street. The Antiques Club of the Finger Lakes, which organizes various educational programs and field trips, offers an annual membership for $15.
