Red Jacket voters have approved the “Forward Together, Pride for Tomorrow” capital improvement project, authorizing $19.95 million in upgrades to the Manchester-Shortsville Central School District. The plan ensures significant enhancements to school facilities without raising local taxes.
The project will address critical needs across the district, including improvements to classrooms, safety features, and infrastructure. Funding will be sourced from $4.34 million in district reserves and state aid, which will cover 89% of the total cost. This approach guarantees no additional financial burden for residents.
The approval follows months of planning by the district’s Capital Project Committee, which collaborated with community members to identify and prioritize pressing needs.
Construction is expected to begin in July 2026. For updates and additional details, visit redjacket.org.
