The Seneca Falls Historical Society is hosting a special event to celebrate the 209th birthday of suffragist Elizabeth Cady Stanton on Saturday, November 16, at 11:30 a.m. The event will take place at 2194 Yellow Tavern Road in Waterloo and will feature a luncheon and an engaging presentation by guest speaker Dr. Mary E. Corey.
Dr. Corey’s talk, titled “Frenemies for Suffrage: Stanton, Gage, Anthony,” will explore the complex relationships between key figures in the women’s suffrage movement. Attendees will receive a complimentary copy of her book, The Political Life and Times of Matilda Joslyn Gage.
