Seneca County Sheriff’s investigators arrested two Geneva residents in connection with a series of thefts from a Waterloo business last month, according to Sheriff Tim Thompson.
David Rojas, 36, and Rachel Woodhams-Vasquez, 39, were charged on October 18 with grand larceny in the fourth degree, conspiracy in the fifth degree, petit larceny, and conspiracy in the sixth degree. The arrests follow incidents on September 17 and 18 when the pair allegedly stole multiple items from the same business.
On September 17, Rojas and Woodhams-Vasquez are accused of stealing two chainsaws valued at $458. The next day, they returned to the business with three other individuals and allegedly stole two generators worth $1,670.
Rojas, who has prior felony convictions, was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Court and remanded into custody. Woodhams-Vasquez was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Waterloo Town Court at a later date.
