Girls on the Run continues empowering girls in Ontario and Wayne counties

Girls on the Run, a national nonprofit, offers after-school programs in Ontario and Wayne counties aimed at empowering girls in grades 3-8. The organization helps participants build confidence, increase physical activity, and develop life skills such as managing emotions and forming friendships. This fall, the program is active in districts including Victor, Red Creek, and Wayne Central, serving 436 girls.

A recent national survey revealed that 95% of participants reported feeling more confident after completing the program. The season will conclude with a celebratory 5K, giving girls a sense of accomplishment.

Girls on the Run continues to seek opportunities to expand into more school districts.
